Join us for the annual Verde Valley Pottery Festival, November 14 – 16, 2025.
This mindfully forged three-day event begins with First Pick Friday on November 14, a special ticketed preview night ($25) where collectors and supporters can enjoy early access to artwork, share in conversation with the artists, and raise a glass of wine at D.A. Ranch Estate Vineyards.
The festival continues November 15 & 16 as free, open-to-the-public days designed to bring together makers, clay enthusiasts, learners, collectors, and the simply curious to build community and be inspired. Ceramic artists across Arizona and beyond will converge in beautiful Page Springs to offer their wares and share glimpses of their studio practice, focusing on critical insight and technical information.
The richness of experience, knowledge, and generosity represented by our artists provides learning opportunities for everyone—from students to collectors to fellow makers. The weekend is filled with image presentations, demonstrations, discussions, and plenty of casual pottery chats.
How It All Began
The Verde Valley Pottery Festival was founded by ceramic artist Ben Roti in 2022. After several years of hosting the Sedona Open Studios Tour at his studio, Ben realized his favorite part of the weekend wasn’t just sharing his work—it was the community of artists who gathered, filling his space with energy, conversation, and creativity.
That spring, inspired by regional events like the Michiana Pottery Tour and the St. Croix Pottery Tour, Ben proposed creating something more focused on ceramics. He invited ten of his ceramic friends from across Arizona, and together they launched the first Verde Valley Pottery Festival.
The response was overwhelming. Hundreds of people attended, far exceeding expectations. Before the festival, Ben would often say, “What if no one shows?” and friends would reply, “What if everyone shows?” The answer, it turned out, was that everyone did—and the Verde Valley Pottery Festival was born.
Our Mission
Verde Valley Pottery Festival is a collective of Arizona-Connected potters committed to expanding the reach and increasing the understanding of contemporary studio pottery through Demonstrations, public lectures, and Artist Displays.
