After many years of working in healthcare, leading non-profit organizations, conducting research, and raising a family, Bettina found herself wanting a creative outlet in her life.  The moment she sat at the potters' wheel, she was hooked.  Immediately attracted to the difficulty of the craft, its subtlety and nuance, she realized that it would take a lifetime to master.  Years later, Bettina still pushes herself to play well outside of my comfort zone. Finding inspiration in travel and nature, my work embraces tradition as well as organic shape, color, and texture.  She shares her personal growth with her students, from whom she learns as much as she teaches.  Her work derives from our collective experiences, as well as her history.  It is an expression of herself.
